Team Leader – Truganina, Melbourne

 

 

Full-time - Monday Friday (2:00pm –10:00pm)

 

 

About the role:

 

A rare warehouse leadership opportunity has become available at AS Colour in our industry leading high spec warehouse. We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated and reliable Team Leader to be part of the warehouse crew and oversee our PM shift operation.

 

This role will report to the Warehouse Manager and be responsible for ensuring efficient workflows, a well-trained and motivated team and smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, demonstrated leadership and people management skills and experience or a keen interest in warehouse automation.

 

 

 

What you will do:

 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse during the PM shift, ensuring efficient queue management across all functions including inwards, decanting, picking, packing, and dispatch.

  • Drive operational efficiency by meeting performance targets, maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and ensuring full compliance with OH&S requirements for the shift.

  • Support the Warehouse Manager in people management to foster an engaged, safety-conscious team with clear and open communication.

  • Lead the onboarding, on-the-job training and development of new team members.

  • Coordinate end-to-end warehouse workflow - from inwards to final dispatch - by closely collaborating with all relevant teams.

  • Work effectively with other Team Leaders and cross-functional departments to support wider operational goals.

 

 

 

We want to work with someone who has:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in warehouse supervision or management, with demonstrated success in delivering results.

  • Hands-on experience supporting the transition from manual to automated warehouse operations.

  • Proven ability to lead, manage and mentor a team of 10 or more, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes and systems, including experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

  • Leads by example with a dependable, proactive approach; thrives in fast-paced environments and consistently meets deadlines.

  • Holds valid MHE licenses (Forklift & Order Picker) with practical experience.

  • Strong knowledge of workplace Health & Safety (OH&S) standards and compliance.

  • Someone who has flexibility to cover shifts when required - weekday and weekend availability is a must!
